FOREST, Va. -- The final 2018-19 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup Results were announced today by the ODAC office. Hampden-Sydney College finished seventh among 13 schools in the Men's Cup Standings with 59.0 points earned for a rating of 0.573.
The Tigers earned 11.0 points for second place in tennis, 6.5 points for a second-place tie in football, 10.0 points for third place in golf, 8.5 points for a third-place tie in lacrosse, 6.0 points for fifth place in swimming, 7.0 points for sixth place in baseball, 5.5 points for a seventh-place tie in soccer, 3.0 points for 10th place in cross country and 1.5 points for a 12th-place tie in basketball. H-SC's total possible points is 103.
As determined by the ODAC Board of Directors, points for the ODAC Commissioner's Cups are based on regular-season standings in team sports and championship team finishes in individual/meet sports. Each institution has a total number of possible points it can collect based on its sport sponsorship. The total number of points earned is then divided by the total number of possible points to determine the rating for each institution.
Washington and Lee University won its 17th-straight Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup, including its 16th consecutive Women's Commissioner's Cup and fourth-straight Men's Commissioner's Cup. The ODAC Commissioner's Cups are presented by Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance.
