Hampden-Sydney Cross Country placed fourth at the Christopher Newport Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.

TIGERS TOP FIVE PERFORMERS

  • Lewis Brooks once again led the Tiger contingent with a 28:43, good for 17th place
  • John Dyke followed in 26th at 30:20
  • Reed Mingione was close behind in 27th place with a time of 30:51
  • Tyler Williams clocked in at 31:42 for 29th
  • Sean Gustafson rounded out the Tigers scoring at 30th, crossing the finish line in 31:51

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

  • Mike Owens, running unattached, won the meet in 25:55
  • Daniel Cretney was the top collegiate runner in 26:00, leading the host Captains to the win

NEXT MEET

  • The Tigers head to Virginia Beach on October 28 to compete in the ODAC Championship
