Hampden-Sydney Tennis Head Coach Robert Bareford brought in two fresh faces to help strengthen the Tennis team this season - Tyler Brice from North Carolina and Alex Zorko of Germany.

Tyler Brice

  • 4-year varsity starter at Rocky Mount High School in Rocky Mount, NC
  • Played #1 singles and #1 doubles all four years
  • 3-time Big East Conference Player of the Year
  • 3-time Rocky Mount Telegram All-Area Player of the Year
  • 4-time team MVP
  • Team captain all four years
  • 3-time all region
  • 3-time regional conference singles finalist
  • 1-time region doubles champion
  • 4-time all area
  • 4-time all conference
  • 3-time singles conference champion
  • 1-time conference doubles champion
  • 3-time 3A NCHSAA singles qualifier
  • 1-time 3A NCHSAA doubles qualifier
  • Parents: Albie and April Brice. Father is the Head Tennis Coach at North Carolina Wesleyan

Alex Zorko

  • Native of Germany before coming to the USA for Tennis in 2015
  • Three-year varsity soccer and tennis player at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun County, Georgia
  • Germany ranked top 500 in 2015
  • 3-time Tennis Captain
  • 3-time team MVP
  • RGNS School record 13 wins in 2017
  • NCISAA All-Conference all three years
  • NCISAA All-State in 2017
  • Parents: Koce and Cosetta Zorko
