Salisbury, ranked #14 by SLAM Tennis, extended their undefeated record to 8-0 while handing Hampden-Sydney Tennis their first loss in a 6-3 decision at the Princess Anne Country Club on Monday.

  • The Moody Twins dealt Ian Slew and Colt Williamson their first loss of the season at #1 doubles at 8-6
  • The other two doubles proved to be closely contested with Harrison Stone and Clark Cummings falling 9-8 (7-5) at #2 
  • Grayson Burns and Trent Singleton succumbed 9-7 at the #3 flight after leading 6-2 and serving for the match at 7-6
  • Matthew Moody also handed Colt Williamson his first singles loss of the year in a thrilling match, 7-6 (10-8), 1-6, 7-6 (7-2)
  • Michael Moody also delivered Ian Siew's first loss at #2 single, winning 6-3, 7-5
  • Andrew Rainger narrowly defeated Clark Cummings 6-2, 7-5 at #4 singles
  • Matthew Ryan needed three sets to take down Levy Young at #5, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2

  • Hampden-Sydney continues their spring break trip on the Virginia coast with the Norfolk State University Tournament on Wednesday at the Virginia Beach Tennis Center. The tournament will be a doubles-only tournament featuring Norfolk State and Hampton University.
