SALEM, VA (April 29, 2009)–The Hampden-Sydney tennis team was not only awarded for their hard work with an ODAC Championship, but also with seven players on the All-ODAC team. Junior Will Moss (Fredericksburg, VA/Fredericksburg) not only was a first team All-ODAC selection, but he also garnered his third consecutive Player of the Year honor and his first Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Pugh compiled an overall singles record of 9-1 and 4-0 in ODAC play. Calhoun amassed a 12-6 record on the year and was 8-1 in the conference. Parrish remained unblemished all year with a 14-0 overall record and a 7-0 conference mark.

Moss and Pugh also teamed up to earn first team honors for No. 1 doubles play. Joining them on the first team are Calhoun and Shad Harrell (Richmond, VA/Mills Godwin). Moss and Pugh went 10-4 on the year and 5-1 in the ODAC while Calhoun and Harrell went 14-4 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

Three more Tigers joined the All-ODAC squad with second team honors. Harrell garnered second team honors for his No. 3 singles play with a 12-5 overall and 7-1 conference mark. Zack Pack (Keysville, VA/Randolph-Henry) received honors at the No. 5 singles spot. Pack went 10-5 overall on the year and 5-1 in the ODAC. He also teamed up with Tal Covington (Gainesville, VA/Flint Hill School) to earn second team honors in No. 3 doubles. The two went 3-5 on the year, but had a solid conference run at 3-1.

With their stellar year that continues into the NCAA Tournament, the Tigers placed a player on either the first or second team for every spot. The complete All-ODAC team can be seen below.
