ASHLAND, VA (April 9, 2009)–Hampden-Sydney's tennis team continues to roll in ODAC play as they earned another decisive 9-0 victory over Randolph-Macon College. The Tigers also continued to show their depth with a quality win from freshman Ryan Davis (Roanoke, VA/Cave Spring). Davis stepped into the six spot and defeated Tripp Mowerin 6-2, 6-1.

Junior William Moss (Fredericksburg, VA/Fredericksburg) again saw a win in the one spot, overpowering Josh Lee 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles action, Hampden-Sydney saw arguably one of the best performances of the season. The Tigers swept all three matches winning 8-1, 8-0, 8-1. The pair of Shad Harrell (Richmond, VA/Mills Godwin) and Kevin Calhoun (Richmond, VA/Mills Godwin) continued their stellar play with an 8-0 win.

With the win the Tigers improve to 9-4 on the year and remain 7-1 in the ODAC.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, April 15 as they host North Carolina Wesleyan College at 3:30 pm.
