Hampden-Sydney Stands Sixth With 53 Points After Day One At The 2019 ODAC Swimming Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Freshman Woody Parsons/Virginia Beach finished sixth in the 500 Yard Free as Hampden-Sydney College stands in sixth place among 10 teams after day one of the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Swimming Championships on Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Parsons swam a school-record time of 4:48.55 for the Tigers, who posted 53 points on the first of three days.  Washington and Lee University is in first place with 278 points.

Sophomore Anthony Vinson/Richmond placed 15th in the consolation final of the 500 Free with a time of 5:00.54, also a season-best time.

Senior Jack Dickerson/Virginia Beach was 13th in the consolation final of the 200 Yard IM in a season-best time of 2:08.47.

Senior Brady Updike/Lynchburg finished 14th in the consolation final of the 200 Yard IM in a season-best time of 2:12.93.

Sophomore Zach Stephan/Hampton placed 14th in the consolation final of the 50 Yard Free in a season-best time of 22.41.

The Tigers 400 Yard Medley Relay of senior Hudson Elmore/Richmond, sophomore AJ Howard/Washington, N.C., Dickerson and Stephan finished fifth with a school-record time of 3:41.86.

The ODAC Swimming Championships will continue on Saturday and Sunday, February 16-17, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
