Why did you choose Hampden-Sydney?

"For the soccer program, educational opportunities, small class sizes, rural setting and the general feeling of camaraderie on campus"

What are your greatest memories at Hampden-Sydney?

"Wow, hard question! So many!!! I remember my French professor, Alan Farrel, an ex-special forces guy, hit a deer on his motorcycle on the way to class one morning and was all skinned up and injured but would not go to the ER until he taught our class!"

How has H-SC helped you in your life after college?

"At H-SC, the education is far deeper than academics. I learned to be a gentleman; learned how to talk to people, look them in the eye, and converse intelligently and articulately; and the rhetoric program taught me to write beautifully. The friend group I formed at H-SC remains strong to this day."

What advice would you give to the current Hampden-Sydney men's soccer team?

"Enjoy soccer but don't ignore your academics. I did and had to play catch up at the end and it wasn't fun! And don't let Randolph-Macon or W&L win!"

Why did you choose Hampden-Sydney?

"Great, small liberal arts school with multiple all women's colleges just a hop, skip, and a holler away!"

What are your greatest memories at Hampden-Sydney?

"Football game tailgates, road tripping to women's colleges, Greek Week, Macado's, Walker's Diner, Fiji Island, Bookstore, Post Office, Saddest day...graduation!"

How has H-SC helped you in your life after college?

"The college gave me confidence and a connection to fellow alumni. Wherever I go, if I'm wearing H-SC swag, young and 'vintage' graduates always introduce themselves."

What advice would you give to the current Hampden-Sydney men's soccer team?

"Support one another and continue to be good teammates on/off the pitch. Come back to play in the Alumni game and let Rob D. and me sub for you for 3-5 minutes!"
