Why did you choose Hampden-Sydney?
"I chose H-SC for its history and family-oriented environment. I enjoyed the overall neighborhood feeling of the campus and knew this was a home where l could have a successful soccer and educational experience."
What are your greatest memories at Hampden-Sydney?
"My greatest memory was traveling for away soccer games and getting to spend time with most of my favorite people on campus. I also loved playing in hostile away atmospheres, especially when the result ended in a win."
How has H-SC helped you in your life after college?
"I feel like H-SC gave me a lot of real-world experience that l would not have been able to achieve at a bigger university because of the size. Their liberal arts program gave me a well-rounded background that has helped me diversify myself on a daily basis. I also learned how to tie a bow tie if l ever need it."
What advice would you give to the current Hampden-Sydney men's soccer team?
"If you're not first, you're last. Make sure that you are doing your best to be a student-athlete than rather just an athlete. Although the soccer aspect of playing at Hampden-Sydney is something that you won't forget, make sure that you are applying that same effort into everything else you do!"
