Hampden-Sydney Soccer dominated in a 5-0 win over the Marymount University Saints.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Marymount saw a strong scoring opportunity just 1:16 into the game but was denied by Gray Sutter. The shot would prove to be their only shot until the 69th minute
  • H-SC got the scoring barrage started in the 24th minute when Connor Shaw finished off passes from Spell Carr and Cole Burton
  • Shaw scored again just over a minute later to make it a 2-0 Tigers lead
  • PJ LeBel tacked on goal #3 off a free kick from Ryan Turner at 34:11
  • Ryan Killen added the Tigers fourth goal of the half off a Niko Reinson assist
  • Jacob Mann rounded out the scoring in the 56th minute
  • Defense held serve the rest of the way for the clean sheet, holding Marymount to just one more shot

COACH DINUZZO'S COMMENTS

  • "Tonight was a really strong performance in every aspect for us. Having a full week of training certainly helped, but after the first few minutes we stepped up and played extremely well."
