Seven Tigers Honored on Lacrosse All-ODAC Team, Three First-Teamers

FOREST, VA - Seven Hampden-Sydney lacrosse players were named All-ODAC on Tuesday, including three on the first-team. With five players named to first or second team, it marks the first time since 2007 that the Tigers have had that many players on the first or second team. Micah Keller (Richmond, VA/Christchurch) was named to the first-team at attack while also being the top vote earner at the position. Keller finished second on the team in goals with 36 and was third in points with 49. He ranks fifth in the ODAC in goals, sixth in points, and third in man-up goals. Additionally, Keller is tied for sixth all-time in career goals at Hampden-Sydney and ninth in points.

Joining Keller on the first-team is Cole Hawthorne (Richmond, VA/Collegiate) and Carter Mavromatis (Virginia Beach, VA/Cape Henry), giving the Tigers two of the three first-team midfielders. Hawthorne led the ODAC in goals at 41, placed fifth in assists at 23 (second on the team), and was second in points with 64 (first on H-SC), just one point shy of leading the ODAC. He added on 43 ground balls, placing him 17th in the conference and fourth on the squad. His career ranks at H-SC are 12th in goals, ninth in assists, 11th in points, fourth in midfielder points, and 14th in ground balls. His 64 points are the second-highest total by a midfielder in single season Hampden-Sydney history.

Mavromatis has established himself as one of the top distributors in the ODAC and Hampden-Sydney history. He led the ODAC in assists with 30, the fifth most in school single season history, and is tied for second in career assists with 70. Additionally he added on 26 goals to tally 56 points. His point total ranks third in the conference and fourth in H-SC single season history. Mavromatis places ninth in the ODAC in goals and fourth in man-up goals with eight. He also places 15th on the school's career points list and sixth on the midfielder career points list.

Nate Norbo (Waterford, VA/Loudon Valley) and Andrew Pritzlaff (Castle Rock, CO/Kent Denver)earned second-team nods. Norbo god the nod at long stick midfielder. He led the team in caused turnovers with 16 and led all defenders with 47 ground balls. Additionally, he tacked on a goal and two assists. His 47 ground balls places him 12th in the conference while his 16 caused turnovers is 11th. He had a season high seven ground balls at Cabrini.

Pritzlaff started all 17 games on the defense. He forced 15 turnovers to rank second on the team and 17th in the ODAC. He had a career-high five caused turnovers against Christopher Newport and scores his first collegiate goal against Randolph-Macon.

Brad Mostowy (Atlanta, GA/Trinity Pawling) and Cody Hornung (Bala Cynwyd, PA/Lower Merion) were named to the Honorable Mention team. Mostowy was the face-off man for the Tigers as well as a valuable short stick defensive midfielder. Mostowy ranked third in the ODAC amongst full-time face-off players, winning 57.7% of his attempts. Additionally, he was second in the ODAC in ground balls with 133. Hornung was fourth in the conference in goals against average at 7.89 and recorded 133 saves with a 54.7% save percentage. He recorded a career-high 15 saves in the ODAC semi-finals against Roanoke and had 14 saves against Lynchburg College.
