Golf Ranked 21st Nationally at End of Fall

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-The Hampden-Sydney golf team wrapped up its fall season ranked as the 21st team in the country, according to Golfstat.com's national poll. The Tigers had a strong fall season, competing in five tournaments while finishing in the top-ten in each and the top-five in two.

The Tigers started off the season with a first place finish in the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament with Hunter Martin (Gloucester, VA/Gloucester) and John Hatcher Ferguson (Rocky Mount, VA/Franklin County) finishing first and second, respectively. The Tigers also had another medalist during the fall as Varun Yerramsetti (Birmingham, AL/Indian Springs) won the VSGA Collegiate Invitational.

The Tigers will open up their spring season on March 4 in the Callaway Gardens Invitational at Mountain View Golf Course in Pine Mountain, GA.
