Golf Competes in Glenn Heath Memorial Tournament

WILLIAMSBURG, VA-The Hampden-Sydney golf team had four individuals compete in the Glenn Heath Memorial Tournament earlier this week, hosted by the Apprentice School at the Williamsburg Club.

John David Gooden (Myrtle Beach, SC/Myrtle Beach) led the way with an 11 place finish, shooting rounds of 78 and 80 to finish 14-over par.

Varun Yerramsetti (Birmingham, AL/Indian Springs) shot 21-over par to tie for 33 courtesy rounds of 86 and 79, and Rob Witherspoon (Richmond, VA/Cosby) was just one stroke behind Yerramsetti, tying for 36 with rounds of 85 and 81.

Dylan Taylor (Richmond, VA/Benedictine) rounded out the group with rounds of 88 and 80 putting him at 24-over par and tied for 43.

The Tigers will return to action in the ODAC Championship, which will be held from April 22-24 at Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC.
