Bush Returns as Head Golf Coach

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Hampden-Sydney Athletic Director Richard Epperson announced the return of Joe Bush as the Tigers' head golf coach. Bush previously served as the golf coach from 2002 to 2010, and he was most recently inducted into the Hampden-Sydney Athletic Hall of Fame after serving the College for 25 years.

"It is with open arms that we welcome Joe Bush back as Hampden-Sydney's head golf coach," said Epperson. "I am confident the leadership of our golf program remains in strong capable hands. Coach Bush recruited most of the current golf team members, and his years of experience will be invaluable as our Tigers contend for this year's ODAC Championship."

Bush arrived in 1986 as the head football coach and was named the Athletic Director in 1992. He was twice named ODAC Coach of the Year and won an ODAC Championship in his 11 years at the helm of football. He was also named the ODAC Tennis Coach of the Year in 1991 during his four year stint as head tennis coach.

He stepped down from his post as Athletic Director in December of 2010.
