Jada Brown is in his second year with the Tigers and will primarily coach the defensive line. Brown returns to Hampden-Sydney after coaching the defensive line in 2013.

Most recently, Brown was the defensive line coach at Mansfield University, coaching four all-conference players in 2017. He also coached tight ends at Reinhardt University in 2014, helping the offense to several top ten statistical rankings in the NAIA. 

During his first stint at Hampden-Sydney, Brown helped the Tigers to their eighth ODAC Championship in 2013 while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs. 

Brown has played professionally in the Canadian Football League, the United Football League, and the Arena Football League and was most recently a member of the Orlando Predators in the AFL. Prior to his stint with the Predators, Brown played in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger Cats from 2011-12 and in the UFL for the Virginia Destroyers from 2010-11. Brown got his professional start in 2010 as a member of the Kansas City Command in the AFL.

Collegiately, Brown was a four-year defensive lineman for the University of Memphis. While at Memphis, Brown was named the Most Improved Player in 2007 and was a defensive captain from 2007-09. As a senior in 2009, Brown was ranked the 33rd best defensive lineman in the nation. Brown graduated from Memphis in 2010 with a degree in communications.

Brown currently resides in Hampden-Sydney.
