Eli Wicklund joins the Tiger staff for his first season and will work primarily with the cornerbacks.
Wicklund, a 2009 Miami University (OH) graduate, brings almost a decade of coaching experience to the Tigers. He most recently coached at Bucknell, working with the running backs in 2016 and cornerbacks in 2017. The Bison defense in 2017 was ranked fourth nationally in pass defense and 11th in total defense.
He has also spent two years at Rice University, working as a defensive and special teams quality control coach from 2014-16; one year as a defensive backs coach at North Park University, helping post the school’s best record since 1971; and four seasons on the defensive staff at Miami University (OH), helping the RedHawks to a 2010 MAC Championship and Godaddy.com Bowl victory.
He received his Bachelor of Science from Miami University (OH) in the spring of 2009.
Wicklund and his wife Lauren, have one daughter, Sydney.
