HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-After a short stay at home, Hampden-Sydney is back on the road for the third time in four games, as the 24th-ranked Tigers travel to Winchester to face the Hornets of Shenandoah. The Tigers will be looking to stay unbeaten in conference play, while Shenandoah, at 2-1 in the ODAC, will look to claim part of first place.
Both are coming off wins, with the Tigers - behind a record-breaking performance of 275 receiving yards from ODAC Player of the Week Holton Walker (Brookville, VA/Lynchburg) - taking down previously unbeaten Emory & Henry 49-27, and the Hornets besting Catholic 24-14.
These two teams have only met twice, with each winning on the road. The Tigers took the first game at Shentel Stadium, winning 42-21, but the Hornets quickly returned the favor at Everett Stadium, handing Hampden-Sydney its only conference loss in 2013, 36-35.
Hampden-Sydney and Shenandoah thrive in different ways, with the Tigers holding the ODAC's top scoring offense at 46.3 points-per-game, and Shenandoah limiting opponents to an ODAC-best 18.7 points-per-game.
