Title: Volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach

James “J.R.” Allen is in his first year as a volunteer assistant baseball coach during 2019.  He will primarily work with the catchers. 

Allen coached high school baseball for 16 seasons (2002-17) at nearby Randolph-Henry, including five years as the head coach (2013-17), compiling a record of 88-27.  He currently serves as a health and physical education teacher at Central Middle School in Charlotte Court House.

Allen is a native of Cullen, graduating from Randolph-Henry in 1997, before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Averett University in 2002.  He resides in Charlotte Court House with his wife, Kim, and two children, Danner and Parker.
