Matt Spagnolo Named To D3baseball.com All-South Region Team

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College junior Matthew Spagnolo/Glen Allen has been recognized by D3baseball.com as a Second Team All-South Region selection.  The designated hitter and team captain started 31 of 33 games, batting .385 (47-122) with two home runs, one triple, 13 doubles, 21 runs, 24 RBIs, 11 walks and three stolen bases.  He had a .557 slugging percentage, a .446 on-base percentage and a .955 fielding percentage with 41 putouts and one assist in 44 chances in the outfield.  Spagnolo led the Tigers in doubles, was second in hits, slugging percentage and on-base percentage, tied for fourth in triples, while fifth in at-bats and home runs.  Matt is fifth in the ODAC in batting average, ninth in slugging percentage, tied for ninth in doubles, 11th in on-base percentage and tied for 24th in hits.
