Brian Goodwyn and Tyler Blevins were recently announced as the captains for the Hampden-Sydney Baseball team.
Goodwyn, a senior, has been one of the Tiger's top performers throughout his career. He has played in 79 games with a .335 batting average, 50 RBI, and 42 stolen bases. As a sophomore, he ranked sixth in the ODAC in hits with 61 and led the league in stolen bases at 25. He was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year as well as Second-Team All-ODAC. In 2017, Goodwyn's five home runs ranked fourth in the conference and he placed fourth with 17 stolen bases. Blevins, a junior, has appeared in 75 career games with 61 hits, 37 RBI, 10 doubles, and 39 walks. His 32 hits in 2017 ranked second on the team.
H-SC opens the season on February 17 with a double header vs. Huntingdon College.
