    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team suffered a 4-2 loss at the hands of sixth-seeded Roanoke College in the second day of the ODAC Baseball Tournament. The loss is the second in the tournament for the fifth-seeded Tigers, eliminating them from the field of play.

    The fifth-seeded Hampden-Sydney baseball team took a 7-2 loss to the second-seeded Generals of Washington & Lee in the second game of the 2017 ODAC Baseball Tournament. The Tigers, who now stand at 21-18 on the season, will face sixth-seeded Roanoke at 11:00 AM at Lynchburg City Stadium on Saturday, May 6.

    Hampden-Sydney baseball split its regular season finale double header against Guilford, winning the first game 6-3 before falling in the second game 8-5. The Tigers finish the regular season at 21-17 overall and 10-10 in ODAC play.

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team took a 2-0 loss at Virginia Wesleyan, being held to just two hits by the combined pitching efforts of Patrick Monteverde and Riley Koonce. With just two games remaining in the regular season, the Tigers now stand at 20-16 overall and 9-9 in ODAC play.
  • Baseball Announces Schedule Changes

    With rain in the forecast for much of the week, the Hampden-Sydney baseball team will have schedule changes for its upcoming games. The Tigers’ game at Virginia Wesleyan – scheduled for Tuesday, April 25 – will now be played on Thursday, April 27 at 3:30 PM. Their game at Marymount – scheduled for Thursday, April 27 – is now to be determined.

    Hampden-Sydney baseball had a very productive offensive day while sweeping the Royals of Eastern Mennonite in an ODAC double header. The Tigers won by scores of 13-7 and 11-6. The Tigers now improve to 20-15 on the season and 9-8 in the ODAC, while the Royals drop to 17-19 overall and 4-13 in conference play.

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team took a 13-5 loss to arch-rival Randolph-Macon in Ashland. The Yellow Jackets used two big innings – including six runs in the first inning – to lift themselves to victory.
  • Tigers Split at Top-Ranked Shenandoah

    The Hampden-Sydney Baseball Tigers went 1-1 with the number one team in the nation, splitting an ODAC double header at #1 Shenandoah. The Tigers took the first game with hot bats, winning 15-7. Shenandoah then responded in a close 3-2 decision in the second game. Hampden-Sydney now stands at 18-14 overall and 7-7 in ODAC play.
  • Baseball Falls 16-7 to Lynchburg

    Hampden-Sydney had a two-game win streak snapped as the Hornets of Lynchburg College had a booming offensive day in a 16-7 decision in favor of Lynchburg. With the loss, the Tigers fall to 17-13 on the season and 6-6 in ODAC play, while the Hornets improve to 15-16 overall and 5-10 in the ODAC.
  • Tiger Offense Overpowers Eagles in Sweep

    The Hampden-Sydney Tigers scored 18 total runs in it’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference sweep of the Bridgewater Eagles on Saturday. The Tigers won their games by scores of 10-9 and 8-4 while improving to 17-12 overall and 6-5 in conference play. Bridgewater, however, drops to 11-18 on the season and 4-9 in the ODAC.
  • Tigers Fall 6-3 to Virginia Wesleyan

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team fell 6-3 to Virginia Wesleyan in mid-week ODAC action. The game was tied through the first four innings, but the Marlins scored three runs in the fifth to give them enough of a cushion to take the win.

    The Hampden-Sydney Tigers split a pair of close games with #21 Roanoke College. The Tigers won the first game 3-2 before falling 4-3 in the second game of the day. The Tigers now stand at 15-11 on the season and 4-4 in ODAC play, while Roanoke sits at 19-8 overall and 5-5 in conference.
  • Tigers Earn 2-1 Win Over Yellow Jackets

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team returned to the win column, scoring a 2-1 comeback win over arch-rival Randolph-Macon. The Tigers now improve to 14-10 on the season and 3-3 in conference, while the Yellow Jackets drop to 16-6 overall and 6-2 in ODAC play.

    The Hampden-Sydney Tigers fell by scores of 5-2 and 9-3 on Saturday to wrap up a three-game stint at #5 LaGrange. The Tigers now stand at 13-10 overall while the Panthers improve to 25-2.

    The Hampden-Sydney Tigers fell 6-0 in their first of three games against #5 LaGrange College. The Panthers’ Ryan Broaderick pitched a complete game shutout, holding the Tigers to just six hits. With the loss, the Tigers drop to 13-8 on the season while LaGrange improves to 24-2.
  • Schedule Changes for Weekend Baseball

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team will have game time changes in its three-game stint at LaGrange this weekend due to weather. Friday’s game, originally scheduled for 7:00 PM, will begin at 5:00 PM. Saturday’s double header will now start at 12:00 PM instead of 2:00 PM.

    Hampden-Sydney baseball won its second straight game while improving to 2-3 in league play, downing Lynchburg 9-2. The Tigers led wire to wire and improve to 13-7 overall. Lynchburg now drops to 12-8 overall and 4-3 in the ODAC.

    The Hampden-Sydney Tigers finished its three-game weekend with a 4-3 win over Frostburg State, going 2-1 on the weekend. The Tigers trailed for the first five and a half innings, but used one big inning to take the win. Hampden-Sydney improves to 12-7 on the season while Frostburg State drops to 8-8.

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team split its Old Dominion Athletic Conference double header with the Wasps of Emory & Henry on Saturday, winning the first game 10-0 before falling in the second contest 5-4.
  • Tigers Hold On For 12-8 Win Over Ferrum

    The Hampden-Sydney baseball team snapped a three-game skid, holding on for a 12-8 win over Ferrum on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers jumped out to an 11-2 lead after six innings, but the Panthers scored six runs over the next three innings to make the game much closer.

    The Baseball Tigers fell in non-conference action this afternoon as Greensboro downed Hampden-Sydney 10-3. The Tigers held an early 2-0 lead, but Greensboro took a lead in the fifth, and then reclaimed the lead and scored six runs in the eighth to hold on.
