Tigers Set to Face Hornets in ODAC Baseball Tournament

FOREST, VA-The field has been set for the 2014 ODAC Baseball Tournament and the Tigers will join five other teams to round out the six team, double elimination tournament to take place from Thursday, April 24 to Sunday, April 27 at Lynchburg City Stadium in Lynchburg.

Hampden-Sydney, which wrapped up its regular season at 27-13 overall and 10-10 in ODAC play, enters the tournament as the six seed.

#14 Shenandoah (28-7, 17-3 ODAC) takes the top seed in just its second year in the conference. Randolph-Macon (22-13, 14-6), Bridgewater (26-11, 13-7), and Washington & Lee (18-11, 11-9) round out the top four. Lynchburg (23-11, 10-10) claimed the fifth seed courtesy a head-to-head tie breaker over the Tigers.

The Tigers will play in the first game of the tournament, facing top-seeded Shenandoah at 11:00 AM Thursday morning. The game will be broadcast on 95.7 WFLO FM.
