Davis Yake is in his fourth year as Hampden-Sydney Sports Information Director after serving one year as Assistant Sports Information Director under former SID Matt Green. Yake is the primary media and marketing contact for all nine NCAA sanctioned sports programs at the College.

Yake was named SID at Hampden-Sydney in May 2009 after serving as a student assistant for two years prior to his stint as Assistant SID. He is responsible for all marketing, media relations, and sports information aspects of the Hampden-Sydney athletics programs. He writes, edits, and designs media publications that are distributed through the Hampden-Sydney Athletics Department and supervises and maintains the College's athletics website for each team, manually updating the sites and providing written content. Yake also oversees game-day operations for Hampden-Sydney home athletic events. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining and updating the new Hall of Fame area in the Kirk Athletic Center.

Yake graduated from Hampden-Sydney in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Rhetoric. He was a four-year team manager for the Tiger basketball squad, earning Academic All-ODAC his junior and senior year. 

He is currently pursuing his Master's of Education in Sports Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.  

Yake is a native of Severna Park, MD, and currently resides in Moseley.
